We should be done with radiation April 2nd, next thursday. Then some packing up will follow and the trip home. We are so excited! Emma is even more tired than she was last week. But the doctor assured us today that is is normal for the end of treatment. And that once we get home she should get back to her normal self fairly soon.
Grandma Wanda came in last night and we are oh so very glad to have her here! She got to come with us today and see what we do. She got to meet the nurses, child life counselor, and the doctor. She even got to eat some of the pretty good cafeteria food.
Emma was invited on monday to take part in a Target House documentary. She is one of five kids who live here in Target House who were invited by the House Director Kari to participate. She was given a very nice Nikon digital camera to document her life here at Target House. Her images will be used in a brochure for Target House and also in a documentary film. What a super fun way to wrap up our stay here at the comfortable and friendly Target House.
We went to the monthly house wide birthday party. Pizza party with balloons, games, crafts and lots of pizza!
Our good friends Devree Hamblin and Pilar Sanchez have gone home and even though we miss them we are so glad they get to be home. Devree and Shana will be home for 5 weeks and then return to St. Jude and Target House for Devree’s chemotherapy. Please keep them in your prays also.
Since we will be leaving soon please send any mail to our home address. If you need that address you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Once again we thank you all for your prayers, love & support! Hugs from all of us here to all of you there!
Emma, Catherine & baby David
